Meet Mary and Jen
Hello, Eagle! Our names are Mary and Jen, and we are excited to visit. What exactly are we doing, you might ask?
It’s simple: we want to meet young people and talk to them about technology: cell phones, computers, and social networking sites. We want to spend time with Eagle’s movers and shakers, and as journalists, document their stories for a dynamic new multimedia project.
So lend us your ear, and we will lend you ours. Send us a message or leave a comment if you know someone worth talking to when we get there.

My friend and I met Mary on Sunday June 14 at the top of the stunningly beautiful Hanging Lakes trail near Glenwood Springs. She’ll remember - my friend is a teacher and pursuing a doctorate in education. Mary was wonderfully engaging and we really enjoyed talking with her.
As for myself, Mary will remember I have a middle-school daughter who has unlimited texting, an ipod, a laptop, and all that. And I have a son stuck in his video games. My daughter could counter that I’m never far from my laptop. But that’s my job, I say. I concede writing to you with my laptop from a hotel breakfast area has absolutely nothing to do with my job other than that’s where I should be going right now…
Mary, we are very interested in your work and we talked about you during the remainder of our road trip. We both plan to follow your blog, and hopefully apply some new insight to our relationships with our children! Thank you for taking such a wonderful picture of us together - you really know photography!
